Why Enhanced Performance Therapy? Our goal is to help you return to the active lifestyle that you enjoy. We believe strongly in promoting wellness and injury prevention, and the importance of educating you and empowering you in your health care decisions. In these times of exponentially increasing health care costs and diminishing benefits from third-party payers, we see a need to provide an effective alternative to clinics dependent upon insurance reimbursement to pay for services. We believe that patients deserve quality for their money, therefore, all Physical Therapy sessions are one-on-one with plenty of time to thoroughly investigate the nature of your injury and design a customized treatment program to meet your individual needs.
Do I need a prescription from my doctor? According to Texas state law, a Physical Therapist can perform an evaluation without a prescription from a physician, but is not permitted to initiate treatment without a prescription or a signed Plan of Care.
What to Expect The Initial Evaluation without Treatment includes a 30 minute evaluation and education on the findings and potential plan of care. The therapist can then provide a written Plan of Care to be submitted to your treating Physician for approval before initiating treatment.
The Initial Evaluation is a 60 minute one-on-one session. This visit includes a "whole body" kinetic chain assessment of strength, flexibility, range of motion, and functional performance. The initial visit also includes any manual techniques indicated by evaluation findings and instruction in an individualized home exercise program. This service requires a Physician's prescription for Physical Therapy.
Follow up visits include a reassessment of initial findings, manual techniques as needed, and fine-tuning and progression of home exercise program in order to progress you as quickly as possible to your life/fitness goals.
Contact your Physician and have them fax your PT prescription to: 877-887-7721.
